Mercury Mistique

The Mercury Mystique is basically the same car as the Ford Contour. I don't really get that. These car companies make the same car but from different manufacturers, but the manufacturers are related. Why don't they just consolidate and make one car? Anyway, my Ford Contour was a pretty good car. Needed some repairs, so it wasn't great, but it was pretty good. Had it for almost 3 years I think.
