I recently replaced the ECM on my 89 ford Escort. After replacing the module I reset the distributer to the mark I had made before removal and the car was running rough. I loosened the distributer and turned it until the engine smoothed out. It was at this point that I noticed that the catalitic converter was extremely hot and cherry red. Is this normal
