Corvette ZO6

The Chevy Corvette ZO6 is meant to be Chevy's street legal race car, or as close as you can get. It's touted as being based on racing technology, and it can really move with a light frame and 500+ HP engine. As with the typical American sports car, though, the handling isn't what you get from foreign sports cars. America has always put more weight on power than on handling. Nonetheless, people who own a ZO6 aren't complaining. And that says something considering the car costs over $60,000 to start.
